Top to bottom technology

Without doubt, our largest project to date.

Introduced to the project and design team by the lead interior designer, a large commercial building was being converted into a series of 50 standard apartments, with a further 7 penthouse apartments being built on the upper levels.

With a concierge, gym, car parking and lifts and stairways to six levels, the project covered both the residential apartments and the communal areas of the development.

The developer wanted to put in place a specification which would appeal to commuters and those looking to live in the local vibrant culture.

Connected and contemporary

One key aspect at the outset was the provision of super high speed broadband to the entire building, and ensuring this would be carried into the apartments correctly.

Working through the cabling design, we used CAT6A cable to ensure HyperOptic’s future high speed internet connection would arrive and deliver, beyond the front door of the apartment.

With direct links to the front entry panel and concierge, using the Comelit ViP system, two way audio and video intercom is standard, with a clean discrete Comelit Icona panel in each apartment.

Making sure the details were right was paramount.

Standard fit style

From the ultra modern Comelit Sense316 buttonless panel at the ground entrance, Bowers & Wilkins ceiling speakers (with the right white grilles to match ceiling finishes), to the latest Lutron Palladiom keypads and future cabling for full integration possibilities with Lutron Sivoia blinds…

The discipline on site from our engineering team was exemplary, with regular worksheet updates, completing methodically through each level working in partnership with the electrical contractors and the site project managers.

Safe and secure

When the deadlines were looming, it was all hands on deck.

From the fibre based TV & satellite distribution systems, to delivering the door entry and access control system as the site moved towards handover, and working with the concierge team to commission the CCTV systems and access control for their needs.

As part of the final interior dressing for the show apartments, we installed two Control4 demonstration systems (complete with our own in-house promotional slide show for the client) in one standard and one penthouse apartment.

The result apartments selling like the proverbial hot cakes. Happy main contractor, happy client, happy interior designer and happy purchasers.

All in a day’s work, kind of…
